In the threat, b7 is blocked and this stops Black playing 1...TRxb6-b7. Because of this any move by the bPb7 defeats the threat, but this just allows White a mate with the Siren one square below the new position of the black pawn. 1...Sd7 allows 2.SIc4# as Black can no longer play 1...Sc6. 1...Sc6 is an orthodox self-block and the final variation is a simple capture mate.
